Position:  VP, Professional Solutions 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly enthusiastic, energetic, intelligent and outgoing individual to sell professional/consumer targeted Internet advertising, custom digital solutions, and sponsorship opportunities to both agencies and direct to pharmaceutical marketers. The position requires a dedicated individual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to personal success. The right candidate is customer service oriented, intelligent, well organized, self-motivating and personable. Experience and demonstrable success in healthcare marketing and/or Internet advertising - specifically in selling to pharmaceutical companies directly - is a must. Experience from firms such as WebMD, Waterfront Media, iVillage, Healthcentral, and related firms preferred. 

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate EHS offerings and value proposition to current and prospective clients
  • Effectively communicate business needs, challenges and opportunities internally as part of a team effort
  • Prospect, negotiate and close digital advertising and custom digital solutions deals to drive revenue in excess of individual and team revenue and profit goals
  • Identify and nurture new business opportunities to drive incremental revenue and grow market share
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with agency and brand direct clients interested in digital display advertising and custom digital solutions
  • Develop and maintain client relationships through ongoing communication and contact
  • Serve as a primary subject matter expert and technical resource for all client accounts
  • Consistently deliver superior customer service
  • Work collaboratively with the solutions and business development teams to deliver successful client presentations
  • Develop accurate and effective RFP responses to close business and generate incremental opportunities through the identification of additional client needs
  • Execute change documentation when scope changes are received from client
  • Collaborate with marketing, solutions, technology, ad operations, and production teams to facilitate communication, manage workflow and assist with successful campaign/project delivery on time and on budget
  • Effectively and accurately utilize Salesforce and other available CRM tools to keep records of all sales and prospecting activities, client meetings, sales calls, presentations, proposals, closed deals, and related sales activities within the designated territory
  • Timely provide to the sales manager all necessary pipeline, opportunity and revenue information as required
  • Attend applicable industry meetings, events, conventions and conferences to market EHS and prospect for new business
  • Meet with clients and client prospects in person to maintain/develop strong customer relationships
  • Deliver regular business and territory reviews to senior management that provide an accurate analysis of territory challenges and opportunities as well as definitive plans for continued territory growth.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of selling on-line advertising and digital solutions into the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries
  • Demonstrable success in digital advertising/digital solutions sales at a senior level
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of digital advertising/digital solutions sales is required
  • Strong Entry Level candidate will be considered
  • Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to the success of the team
  • Strong relationships with recognized advertising agencies and brand managers/directors in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries
  • Strong knowledge of recent developments and trends in digital advertising as they relate to the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, including new products, digital solutions, mobile, video, rich media, and technology platforms
  • Ability to multi-task while simultaneously managing multiple accounts and client demands
  • Driven, self-motivating, outgoing and personable
  • Passionate about Internet advertising and obsessed with satisfying clients
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and a strong general working knowledge of other Microsoft Office products such as Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with CRM programs such as Salesforce.com, as well as Doubleclick Sales Manager, Dart for Publishers, and other Google software
  • Basic HTML knowledge

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree
