Position:  Director, Educational Strategy 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly enthusiastic, energetic, intelligent and knowledgeable business developer who has a track record of selling continuing medical education solutions to the larger pharmaceutical industry.  Focus on securing new commercial support and closing grant funded CME projects. 


  • Provide support to CME funding efforts including participating in the development of proposals and grant requests.
  • Effectively communicate business needs, challenges and opportunities internally as part of a team effort
  • Meet a secured grant funded goal as determined by the company.
  • Participate as needed, in the delivery of contractual commitments.
  • Identify new commercial support opportunities.
  • Secure new commercial support contracts by managing in various segments of the contracting cycle. 
  • Participate in meetings as requested.
  • Interface with team members as necessary including spending time at corporate headquarters.
  • Manage list/database (faculty, clients) and communicate with each as needed. 
  • Travel to on-site to assist with programs as necessary.  This will include some weekend travel as necessary.
  • Work closely with project team on various aspects of planning/executing programs. 
  • Strong understanding of Continuing Medical Education market particularly knowledgeable as it relates to the grant funding process including regulatory requirements. Track record of working within pharmaceutical industry. 
  • Demonstrable success closing grant funded CME proposals. Experience managing quota targets of 2M.
  • Minimum of 5 years of CME sales is required
  • Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
